Favorite Book:
This is a hard month! I read A LOT of good books this past month! I would probably say the winner is a tie between Pretty Little Liars and Unbelievable. These are the first and fourth books in the PLL series. They were a great start and a great finish (I only got the first four) to the series.
Least Favorite Book:
Much like with the tough decision of favorite book, this is tough too. I gave only 4s and 5s this month. I would probably say Sloppy Firsts was my least favorite. I liked it, but I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like the series after I read it. I loved Second Helpings though, so I am happy now, because I have the first four lol.
Goals for July:
Although I read a lot last month, I feel like I am really behind in my reading. I am currently reading a book I got from a publishing company. I have two more on the way from a PR person and just signed up for 7 galleys on NetGalley. I have plenty on my plate and will weave in one on my TBR throughout the month.
Teaser Tuesday 6/15
This week’s Teaser Tuesday comes to us from Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty. I am not consistent with this weekly meme. It juts depends if something jumps out at me while I am reading. This week, it definitely did.
Pg44: “I don’t even like babies. I have a very low tolerance for people who sit in their own defecation.”
LOL I felt the same at one point in my life, plus I just like the word defecation
What are you guys reading this week?
On My Bookshelf 1/24

For the Holiday Swap this year, I got Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty. So, I decided I needed the rest of the series. I got Sloppy Firsts, Charmed Thirds and Fourth Comings. I decided not to get Perfect Fifths yet because I always carry a book with me and I like carrying paperbacks better than hardbacks. The paperback for Perfect Fifths comes out in March. That gives me enough time to get through the rest
I also got LA Candy by Lauren Conrad. I feel like I watched Lauren grow up from Laguna Beach to The Hills. I quit watching the show when I got out of college, but I was really excited when this book came out. But, like already mentioned, I wanted to wait until it came out in paperback.
Now I know I said I got 5 books, but only mentioned 4. The other was a gift for someone that they aren’t getting for a couple of weeks, so I’ll wait until I give it to them to post it, just in case they happen to stop by
This week, I got a lot of presents, to me, from me. Borders.com had a special where you could buy 4, get one free. So, of course, since I had tons o’ gift cards, I took advantage. I got 5 books using gift cards and still have a few dollars left.
Holiday Swap
The Holiday Swap is one of my favorite things I’ve taken part of since becoming a book blogger. I didn’t end up getting my package until after Christmas, but that’s because I have my packages sent to work and it came Christmas Eve and I didn’t work that day. It was a pleasant surprise yesterday though when I got to work.

Yay for my goodies from Nari at The Novel World. How cool is it that my gifts came from California? I’m sure the person I sent to wasn’t as excited that her gifts came from West Virginia, but it’s the little things that make me happy.
And the big things inside this package DEFINITELY make me happy! Nari sent me Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty. Now I know what I am going to spend my gifts cards on from Borders. I have to buy the rest of the series
I also got an awesome book mark that I can put a picture in. I’m sure there’s a far away picture of me and Mikey at the wedding I can stick in there. She also sent me some Ghirardelli coffee and some tea. And with the temperatures dipping in the teens and below in the next week, I need all the warmth I can get.
If you aren’t a frequent reader of The Novel World, check Nari and her blog out! And thanks Nari! I LOVE my swap gifts!!
