Thanks for playing!
Last Day for Giveaway
That’s right! Today is the last day for The Gentleman in Room 205 giveaway. You have until midnight Wednesday to get your final requests in. If your new and haven’t checked out the giveaway, click here. The author will be signing and sending out a copy of the book. I loved it. Plus, he’s a West Virginia guy. Who doesn’t love to support local authors??
Very Cool Giveaway
It has only been a few months since I’ve gotten super serious about this blog, but in that time, I’ve realized how awesome giveaways are! I may not be giving away the best book in the world, but some people give away some awesome things.
Today, I ran across an amazing giveaway. Jenn’s Bookshelves is giving away ANY book you want $20 or less. How cool is that? Very cool idea. I may have to start doing this. Maybe once a year… maybe I’ll make it a Christmas giveaway.
Anyway, check out this giveaway and enter yourself (yes, I know I’m drumming up competition against myself lol), but I couldn’t help but pass on this because it’s such a great idea!
My First Giveaway Win!
Once I learned that people gave away books on their blogs, at first I was shocked. People give away books? Are you kidding? I love ALL of my books, even the ones I hate. But then, I realized, if people are giving away books, someone has to win them right? Might as well be me
I do most of my singing up for book giveaways on Goodreads.com. But every now and then I’ll find a book on someone’s blog and HAVE TO HAVE IT!
For the first time since I’ve been signing up, I’ve finally won! Let off the fireworks please. The giveaway was hosted by Kelly at The Novel Bookworm. The book:

I’m normally not a huge thriller fan. I have to deal with so many serious stories at work that by the time I come home and want to relax with a book, I want it to lighten my mood. Plus, since I was a little girl, I’ve been in nightmare hell!
Maybe this book wasn’t the greatest to sign up for, but it intrigued me.
From Fantastic Fiction
A college student is found dead, floating in a rowing boat on a lake, a gaping wound in his abdomen. The autopsy reveals that his spleen was removed while he was still alive. A media frenzy ensues, the press reaching the same conclusion as the local law enforcement: Gretchen Lowell, the ‘Beauty Killer’, still at large following her prison escape, is back and she’s killing again. But Detective Archie Sheridan, on medical leave following his last run-in with Gretchen, isn’t so sure. The more he discovers about the murders the more convinced he is that they could be the work of a copy-cat. Plus Archie has other things to worry about – his health is declining sharply and he is being stalked by a strange young man. At first Archie dismisses him as one of a disturbed group who are obsessed with Gretchen and romanticise Archie’s ten-day ordeal with her. But as the young man’s attentions begin to intensify, it becomes clear that this group will go to great lengths to feel close to the Beauty Killer…Archie, along with journalist Susan Ward, is desperate to find the truth behind this new spate of killings. But it is Gretchen who holds the answers and copy-cat or not, she still has one more victim in mind.
It just seems like there are sooo many twists and turns in this book. I am very excited to get it! It’s definitely moving to the top of my TBR list!
Thanks again Kelly!
Oh and don’t forget, I’m hosting a giveaway of my own. If you like Gossip Girl, sign up for the first book in the series (check out the link on the right side of the page).
September Book Giveaway
I decided it was time to hold my first giveaway. I have a couple of books that I knew I wouldn’t read again, so why not give them to people who did?
I’m a very giving person LOL.
So today is September 1st. The giveaway will end October 1st at midnight.
The Book:

This is the first in the Gossip Girlseries by Cecily von Ziegesar. This book is where the hit show started.
I must admit I never read this book in it’s entirety. I was a huge fan of the show when it came out and my fiance bought me the book. If I hadn’t watched the show, I probably would have loved the book, but it’s almost verbatim to the show. Sorry if I just turned a bunch of you off
But I want to be honest.
How to Enter the Contest:
1. Leave me your name and email address
2. Leave me your blog or website
3. Tell me your favorite book of all time
I will randomly draw the winner out of a hat on midnight of the ending date (or as soon as I get home from work, if I have to work later). I will announce the winner on my blog and send out an email.
Enjoy
