AnnAlysis: A Killer Like Me
No one or nothing can terrorize New Orleans like Hurricane Katrina, right? Wrong! A serial killer is knocking off prostitutes left and right. But no one, except for Detective Sean Murphy is even putting the murders together. When Murphy leaks the story to the press, he ends up being investigated for going against the code and gets pulled from the case.
But it doesn’t take long before everyone realizes he may have been right. Unfortunately it takes an arson at a gay club for this to come to light. Now Murphy is back on the case and getting into the head of the killer to try to track him down, pushing the limits of legality and morality.
Now not only does Murphy not have time on his side to save the next young victim, a storm the likes of Katrina is on it’s way directly to the ravaged city.
I love the variety of books that NetGalley offers. It gives me the opportunity to branch out of my comfort zones and read awesome books like this!
A Killer Like Me is a thriller from page one, to the very end. Hustmyre keeps you gripping the edge of your seat, just hoping that Murphy tracks down this crazy bible-thumping killer and doesn’t himself go down the path of destruction, or should I say further. And even if Murphy doesn’t always make the best decision, you still want him to come out on top.
Next time I need a good thriller, I will definitely hit up Hustmyre’s bookshelf.
I give A Killer Like Me 5 bookmarks.

Kari got this book from NetGalley

Oh, I read his nonfiction crime stories. We emailed back and forth for awhile. And yes, he definitely knows New Orleans, which is how I “met” him online while doing research for one of my New Orleans romantic suspense books. Thanks for the heads up about this novel.
