Where do I even start with this? I have been a 90210 fan since I can remember watching it in the evenings with my parents. Now, I don’t remember all of it from the first-run episodes, most of it I remember from watching reruns, because I was only 4 when it started. But it’s a classic. It was the first teen show and it’s still going strong. My husband and I watch it every weekend on SoapNet.

I have always been a fan of all the 90210 girls. I scour the movies one Lifetime Movies, Oxygen, Hallmark etc. If I ever see a movie with Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth or Tori Spelling, I always DVR it.

I got this book at a local bookstore. They had library books from all over the country. I liked Tori when I got the book, but it wasn’t until recently that I’ve started really liking and respecting her. I’ve watched the Tori and Dean show for the past two years, and watched a major marathon a couple of weeks ago. That’s when I decided I knew it was time to read the book. And once I started, it took less than a weekend to finish.

I normally stay away from autobiographies. I feel like I do enough research on celebs that I will already know everything they are going to tell me. I was WRONG! I feel like I am Tori’s BFF after reading this (please if you stumble across this, don’t think I’m a creeper. I live in WV, so I won’t be stalking you anytime soon).

I loved hearing about Tori’s childhood, her relationships and her side of how she and Dean got together. I never knew she was in such a bad relationship before she got married. I hate that for her, and as much as she said she wanted to be “normal”, that is very normal to me! We all see celebrity relationships and think they are all peaches and cream.

One of the things that I can’t stop thinking about after reading this is Mehran’s boyfriend Jeremy who died of a heart attack in his late 20s. When I read that, I almost cried. I feel like after watching these shows, I know these people, I can connect with them. After watching the current season of Tori and Dean, it urged me to start writing. I love Tori’s creativity and as strange as it may sound, she inspired me to start writing.

Anywho  (ugh I hate when people say that), I thought this was a terrific book and I can’t believe I waited so long to read it. Now I need to get the others. I give sTORI TELLING 5 bookmarks.
