Wordless Wednesday 4/28

This week’s Wordless Wednesday comes to you from my porch. This past weekend, the sky was amazing. It so blue, but also extremely cloudy. I love this picture and actually have it on the background of my phone. Enjoy!
Are you wordless this Wednesday?

Teaser Tuesday: 4/27
I almost forgot about this, because until just now, I thought it was Wednesday. Oh, this may be a long week.
Anywho, this week’s tease, sponsored by Should be Reading, comes from the book Rooms by James Rubart.
Pg 67: “Micah got back to the house at six-thirty that evening. After a quick run down to Haystack Rock and back, and an even quicker dinner of pot stickers and rice, he strolled toward the library. He never got there. Next to it was another new door.
Great, here we go again.”
Ahh, don’t you want to know what’s behind this door? And all the previous doors for that matter
What are you reading this week?
On My Bookshelf 4/25
In My Mailbox is weekly meme held at The Story Siren. I get my books sent to work and they never fit in my mailbox. Because I’m obsessive about things, I decided “On My Bookshelf” worked better.
I know, I’m a nerd!
Anyway, I haven’t done this post in a REALLY long time. It’s been 3 months since I’ve bought any books. After Christmas, I had two bookshelves full of “To Be Read” items, so I’ve been chipping away at that. I am making a little progress, I’ve read half of one shelf.
I have received a couple of books that I should have posted on this meme, but was still deciding if I wanted to meme it up anymore or not. Obviously, I decided I wanted to… and now, to why you are here.
Here are the two books I received that I did not post and links to my reviews:
Meg at WriteMeg! sent me The Cougar Club, which I loved.
I also received Season of Water and Ice from Kelley and Hall Pub Co.
Now to the books I received this week:
I got Beautiful Malice from Goodreads.com.
I got Rooms from Librarything.com.
And I got a signed copy of The Naughty List from Free Book Friday.
It was a good week for winning. I’ve start Rooms and am loving it. Not a lot of craziness has happened so far, but enough to keep me turning the pages.
What did you get this week?
AnnAlysis: Envy
As we travel back to NYC, quite a bit has changed. Elizabeth is back, Diana is still in love, but now it’s with a married man, Penelope is unhappily married but will do anything to fix it and Lina, well she now goes by Carolina and has climbed the ranks quickly.
It’s time for Elizabeth to put her past in the past and get back into society. This means she must accept a trip to Florida with “the group”, including her former fiance Henry, who is now married to Penelope and had a tryst with Di. WOWZA love triangle!
But it’s not all drinks and the beach, because of a death, one guest leaves early, two join the military, a marriage is all but br0ken and at least one society girl has a baby on board.
I love this series because I love diving into the past. I’ve never been one good with history, but anything involving royalty and the wealthy, I am in. The beauty and luxury of this series keeps me gripped. The writing is amazing and makes me feel like I’m 100+ years in the past. But what I love about it most is that although we are in a completely different century, there is still the same drama. There are still the catty girls and the drama love triangles.
I do admit I made a boo boo here. Envy is the 3rd in the series. I skipped over Rumors, which I’ll make next on my list and will surely be angry because I’ll already know the outcome. Oh well.
I give Envy 4 bookmarks.

Wordless Wednesday: 4/21
Wordless Wednesday is exactly what is says – add a pic – you can explain if you want, if not, no biggie. That’s the joy of being wordless. If you stop by here a lot, you know wordless is not an option for me. I’m a talker. I talk all the time. Oh, picture? Yes, here we go.
Ahhh, the delicious strawberry preserve cupcakes I made this week. Very simple, very tasty. Click the picture to see all of my pictures on my cupcake adventure. And leave me a comment with your email address if you’d like the recipe.
