PostHeaderIcon Local Book Giveaway

The reason I am calling this local is because the book in this giveaway is written by a local author (for me at least).

The Gentleman in Room 205 is Bart Harper’s second book. Harper has lived in West Virginia his whole life and is now a teacher, realtor and author and lives in Spencer.

Gentleman in Room 205

Bart has teamed up with me for this giveaway. I am hosting it, but he will be signing and sending out the book.

I met Bart through Twitter and have read both of his books, his other one is a collection of funny short stories about growing upĀ (Adventures of a Fat Kid).

From the back of The Gentleman in Room 205: “As a young man sits and watches his father lying in a hospital bed, he thinks back to his younger days when times were simple. His father was his hero, but now a stroke has taken everything, except his heart and his will to live.”

This book has many twists and turns. It is loosely based on Bart’s life and has a Sci-Fi feel. There are many parts of this book that make you wonder is this real or not?

To check out my review on this book, click here.

To enter, please leave your name and email address along with your website if you have one.

You will get an extra entry is you can think of a good question for Bart. On my review of this book, I have a Q&A, so check it out and see if you have anything to ask. He is very good about checking out my blog and returning comments and questions.

The giveaway will end at midnight (EST) on October 14th. I will send Bart the winner and he will send out the goods :)

Unfortunately I haven’t had the pleasure of reading either one of your books Bart, nor can I wait to. I can relate to the book “The Gentleman in Room 205″ I lost my Mother whom I was very close to & it was a long illness as well. I also knew your Father, although I was young the last time I saw him, I remember what a great man he was & I know he was a wonderful father & it should be obvious to anyone who knows or ever meets you, because you have done and are still doing amazing things everyday. I wish you & your family the best & hope you continue to be successful in all that you do.

I have also read and own both of his books. I like how this young man writes. For the simple fact that he keeps my attention and my imagination does the rest. But I would always like to have a signed copy from this Author. Keep on writing Mr. Harper.

I’ve read both books. When reading “the fat kid”, I found myself laughing aloud, and “the gentleman” I found myself crying my eyes out. I couldn’t put either down until I finished them.
