The book is not what I expected. (I picked up this book at Costco and thought it’s a bit more chick-lit ish). I turned out to be a really sad story of an unwanted daughter. The story stayed with me for a long time afterwards.

There were parts of this book that were so incredibly heartbreaking. It's probably good that I didn't hear about the movie until after I had read the book, because I definitely enjoyed to book more. But I did still need some tissues to get through the movie! Here's my BTT.
